Building IT-Enabled Business Transformation Has Been Our Heritage.
Although the journey of innovation and sophistication has been nothing short of breathtaking, what has not been so spectacular has been the evolution and maturing of a management framework that would enable the efficient application of these rich technologies within large enterprises. Every decade these enterprises have become more dependent on IT but the potential still far exceeds the ability of most organizations, industries and governments to harvest IT.
It was with that challenge that Charlie Feld founded The Feld Group in 1992 after building a management framework as CIO at Frito-Lay from 1981-1992. At The Feld Group we continued to build on that model as we grew and provided operational management or framework consulting services to a significant number of Fortune 500 companies like Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, Southwest Airlines, Coca-Cola, FedEx, Home Depot, Westinghouse/CBS and many others.
The Feld Group’s work has been the subject of multiple case studies appearing in the Harvard Business School, MIT and McKinsey Quarterly, as well as featured articles in numerous industry publications. We have also received several industry awards, including the Smithsonian Award for Technology Excellence (on two separate occasions) and the Carnegie Mellon Award for Innovative Technology.
